Sydney on a budget?

Any advice?

We know Australia will be shock to our system after Asia. What is the best (cheapest) way to take in the sights. Any cheap home-stay recommendations or hostels? Or even a work for accommodation.

Landing on the 2nd of Feb, any events or things to take in....of course on a budget.

I would certainly start out by looking through the Top Questions to the right of the page.

Accommodation: check www.wotif.com.au,

Airbnb, Bookings.com

What's your nightly budget?

Your " budget/cheap " might be my "middle of the road" . With a $ figure to work on, we have some chance of giving some meaningful advice.

What's on: google What's on in Sydney.

Some of the Festival of Sydney events are run in early February.

do check out the hostels for cheaper accommodation.

wake up and the yha are some popular ones. you can get cheaper ones but they might not be so clean and might come with bed bugs etc.....just saying.....might.....

consider getting a weekly transport ticket or even one for a day (when you're using lots of public transport in one day)

walking around sydney harbour is free.

take a trip to manly by the ferry (use your transport pass)

go up to the south eastern pylon for a fraction of the price of the bridge climb
