Also we are workin on tickets for the ashes , we have tickets for the twenty twenty game but realise that tickets for the syd test match are like gold dust. just wonderin how many english are goin out there without tickets anyway . does anybody no if there will be any big screens in sydney for all without tickets to meet up and watch the cricket.

Tickets to The Ashes are as rare as hen's teeth.

As for Sydney nighlife....there are WAY too many options to write about but I'll give you a short list of Sydney Nightclubs that are popular with your age group:

DCM nightclub (Thurs is Gay night)

Club 77

The Cave (Star City Casino)

Blackmarket (Thurs is Hellfire club S&M)

Harbourside Brasserie

Shark hotel

Look up www.clubvibes.com

The Rocks has heaps of Pubs which are popular "watering holes".

The Orient

The Observer

The Mercantile

The Lord Nelson

The Australian

Oxford Street in Sydney is a predominantly Gay area but there are also "Mixed" clubs along this strip (Lizard Lounge).

Don't worry there is plenty to keep you busy in Sydney.

As for watching the cricket I would say ALL the pubs in Sydney will have screens to watch the Ashes and I'm sure there will be "big screens" scattered around Sydney. (Coogee Bay Hotel)

Apparently there will be a giant screen in Martin place as there was for the Olympics.
