Hello friends!
Im planning a 2 week honeymoon coming up very soon within the next month (January-February 2018 time). What are the must see attractions or things to do? Would you also stop somewhere else nearby like Fiji? Water warm in the beaches during this time?
Any ideas and thoughts are appreciated!
Interests, budget, type of traveller (luxury or backpacker), how much time for Australia ???
Pretty hard to suggest anything without knowing what you want to see or do - even why Australia ?
You need to do some research (we are not travel agents).
It’s mid summer. Check bom.gov.au for temperatures ( in Celsius). If you only have two weeks, you don’t have time for two countries in this region.

26 helpful votes If you only have two week you do not have time for Fiji as well.
14 days on the ground in As - threelocations max.
A substitute for Fiji would be Noosa or possibly a combo of Fraser Island and Lady Elliot Island (if you can get in to LEI).
Sydney is a must see, so that leaves on other dstination - Uluru (very hot) Great Ocean Road? A few nights in an round Hobart?
Every time you changelocations, you use at least half a day in travel time.

290 helpful votes Good advice on getting the visa sorted out before you book anything that's non-refundable. If you are a US citizen going to Australia for tourism purposes, you will need an ETA. You can apply for it online through the official Australian website (below). The cost is AUD 20.
As others said, a lot more info needed from you. Otherwise, we would be making a stab in the dark and most likely wasting our time and yours.
Having said that, with 2 weeks you could do Sydney, Far North Queensland and Uluru. Not ideal time of year for FNQ and Uluru but doable.
Weather at that time of year is best in the southern half of the country. January is likely to be more expensive than February as it's our peak holiday season then.

We plan to come to the South East part of Australia. Spots that sound great are Sydney, Whitsunday, Cairns, Melbourne. We are into beaches, relaxing, snorkeling, kangaroos, seeing the culture, scenic views, and nightlife. Which area of Australia mentioned would you take out bc I assume I will NOT have time for all of these places in 2 weeks. And what order would you travel if coming from West Coast U.S. How many days for each?

Cairns in North East and , Port Douglas is a better location. That said it is wet season. I would be much further south that time of year.
If it is Jan or Feb. Feb is better as school holidays will be over. The answer is open jaw tickets.
Say fly in to Brisbane and out of Melbourne.
