Frederiksborg Castle

Will be in Copenhagen for one day on ship. Have a shuttle to town center. Is it possible to take a train to Frederiksborg Castle? If so, can I get directions to train station, cost of round trip ticket, can this be done in a day? What is cost to see the castle? Thanks for your help.

You can take S-train from Central Station, Vesterport Station or Norreport Station to Hillerod. From Hillerod Station you can either walk approx. 15 mins to the castle or take bus 302.

One-way ticket is DKK 108, but you can buy a 24h all zones ticket (will cover the return trip) for DKK 130.

Entrance to the castle is DKK 75.
