Camping Post-Fire

I see Pfeiffer Big Sur has reopened and am wondering how it looks in the campground. Any input? Thanks!

Well...sort of.

Come quickly as the current thinking is that almost all the state parks may close down by Labor Day.

See more information on the Big Sur Web Site (and also many of the papers are covering it.)

We were by Pfeiffer a couple of weeks ago - the campground looked overall good; some camping spots are not open due to last year's fire, so do get reservations.

The lodge looked just like it always did. The scenery in Big Sur of course is always spectacular. The roads to Big Sur (i.e.Highway 1) was in good shape. Lots of good times...enjoy (while you can).
