Wjht town do I put for resorthopper?

Hi Everyone,

Our trip is a little less than 2 weeks now (!!!) and was looking at resort hopper to get transport to the Radisson Blu Sands. Some have said it really is not located in Mellieha. Is it ok to put Mellieha as the town we are going to for resort hopper or would I put something else?

Thanks for any help! have received so many answers to my questions here and am very appreciative for that.

Nancy

The Radisson at Golden Bay is nowhere near Mellieha, for a start Golden Bay is on the left hand side of Malta and Mellieha is further up to the north on the right hand side of Malta. From the Radisson to Mellieha is about 15 to 20 minute drive by car.

As previously advised Golden Bay is remote, just the Radisson, a couple of beach bars and Apple's Eye a good cafe that has a wide menu.

Have a good holiday.

The official Golden Sands hotel website states that the hotel is in the Limits Of Mellieha . The area is closest to Mellieha rather than any other village and is considered to be in the Local council area of attention .

Resorthoppa will get you there if you put Golden Sands Bay as there is no other 5* hotel within miles !!!!

Welcome to Malta and one of the best ,if not the best ?,beaches and hotels on the island!

Strange, i would have though that Mannikata and Mgarr were nearer to Golden Bay than Mellieha, AMC.

Agree with you, also is St Pauls not nearer than Mellieha.

I could have sworn that the Golden Sands Hotel was demolished many years ago and replaced by the Radisson!

Hi we always use resorthopper and the last twice we have come to Mellieha through Golden Bay.

Also returning. Must admit no-one on our bus got off there....

Cost us 25ish euro's to Mellieha.

They are a good transfer company. Always on time always curteous ....

manikata closest then maybe zebbiegh and mgarr id say.

its as mac as said a fab hotel and beaches (watch for the currents tho) and also quite remote you will need a car for daily touring the island, unless you want to do the bus hopping.

For the record, public buses serving Golden Bay are:

44 to Mosta and Valletta

101 & 102 to Mellieha & Cirkewwa (for the Gozo Ferry)

223 & 224 to St.Pauls, Bugibba and Qaqra

225 to Mosta, St.Julians and Sliema

44, 101, 102 & 225 also serve Mgarr.

Thank you Phil! greatly appreciated. Went online and booked taxi for 32.00USD for both of us round trip which isn't bad at all! After hearing the bus issues with people leaving others waiting I decided a private taxi (through Resort Hopper) would be best.
