Car rental

Can anyone recommend a car rental company? I have gotten prices from Kemwell and Avis, but have red that thee are local companies that can sometimes offer a better deal. I wonder about the quality of those cars and the service. Has anyone used the local companies?

Hi, I would recommend you get a quote from any of the companies that advertise online and then contact Auto-europe.co.uk who will undercut the price of your quote even if you get a discount from someone like Holiday Autos. They are a very large agent and you will find that the car you are offered will be from Hertz, Avis, National/Alamo etc. so no need to worry that it will be some back-street company you have never heard of.

I have used this company for hire cars in UK, mainland Spain, other Canary Islands and America as they are worldwide and I've saved a fortune.

PS: Rather than use the .co.uk there may be a .com company which is more local to yuo.

I've just re-read my posting and it sounded as if I was refering to Record as a 'back-street' company, this is not what I meant, Record is very good and should you decide to go that route you would not have a problem with them.
