Hi,I have just recieved my flight tickets to Tossa de Mar and am a bit took aback to find check in opens 3 hours before take off. The flight leaves 6 am,do we realy need to be there for 3.
This is from Newcastle airport.
I always thought 2 hours were the norm.
Has anyone any idea why.
Check-in opening isn't the important time, it's check-in closing you dont want to miss. Although some airlines are becoming very bureaucratic about checkin since 9-11.

Almost all flight companies open their check-in counters around 3 hours before the flight departure but is not necessary being there at that time. 90 minutes is the usual rule
