We are considering booking the San Eloy for the 2nd week in October. After visiting several review sites it appears to tick all the right boxes, with about 95% of people recommending it very highly.
However, most comments also stress how wonderful it is for children, which implies that it is usually heaving with them. Equally, there were no adverse comments about childrens behaviour either. We have no objection to kids in general but as we are in our 40's it would be nice to have some child-free space, ie bar or lounge in the evenings.
We had a bad experience at an all-inclusive hotel in Alcudia last year where some parents, who were obviously at the bottom end of the evolutionary scale, allowed their children to run riot from morning till midnight - including giving them alcoholic drinks. The result was the kids were drunk and the parents (who were equally drunk) thought it hilarious. Several guests complained but the staff seemed powerless to stop it.
Can anyone please advise on the policy at the San Eloy and what their experience has been? We assume that during the 2nd week of October most kids would be in school anyway?
We're not old farties really, we just ask that people take their parental responsibilities seriously, with consideration for others.
Many thanks in anticipation of some helpful or reassuring comments.
