Can anyone tell me the length of the promanade please and does it run close by the sea... thanks in advance ... Chris.

cj, yes the prom runs for miles, you can walk along beach to Villa Real, very nice, then catch boat over to Spain.

Trip only takes 5 mins and you arrive in Alcutiem a lovely town.

The 'promenade' isn't quite next to the sea as the beach is so wide!

Also, Vila Real is a good 45 minutes walk and the ferry takes you to Ayamonte in Spain, not Alcoutim.

I'd say the main promenade is approx 250 metres to the sand, there's a car park in between

Ferry takes 15 minutes and goes to Ayamonte in Spain.
