Hi all,

I'm just 1 week away from my trip to Norway. Really excited to be spending our 10th wedding anniversary there!

I'm keen to visit the Kirkenes snow hotel on the 13th March. However I have a kind crab tour in the afternoon which clashes with the hotel tour. There is an evening tour with dinner (at 900NOK per person) but I think it's pretty expensive.

Can we visit the snow hotel by ourselves and tour around or do we have to do it via a guided tour? Additionally, are there public transport to the hotel?

The day tour costs NOK 500, so NOK 900 means the dinner is NOK 400, which is quite a normal price for a dinner in Norway.

I think it is possible to visit independently, but I seem to remember you would need a taxi.

Thanks... so if i visit independently, will that mean that there are some things that i would not get to see? Just trying to figure out..
