Vlicha Bay

Hi,

how far is Vlicha Bay from the village of Lindos? How long does it take to walk from the bay to Lindos? Is the beach at Vlicha Bay nice? Quieter than the main beaches of Lindos?

Thanks!

Couldn't agree more, Exclusively Lindos is great for village accommodation. You might struggle to find an apartment with living room though, as this isn't the norm in Greece. Plenty of villas if you really need a living area and plenty of apartments if you're happy with a separate kitchenette or kitchenette in one of the bedrooms.

Erato is a lovely, small apartment block in a converted, traditional house, you couldn't get much more central but it's on a quiet street. I've stayed in the traditional, two roomed apartment downstairs and it's basic but spotlessly clean and full of charm and character. http://www.eratolindos.gr/ Another one of my favourites is Bakia, a much more modern option but with beautiful views - book through Exclusively Lindos.

Hi.

Have you tried checking out www.booking.com? (search Lindos & your dates). After several visits to Lindos we have discovered new accommodation options on this website & have booked Lindos Jewel Exclusive Apartments for the end of May.

Hope you find something to suit you soon.

Thanks everybody.

Is there a bus from the airport to Lindos by any chance. A public bus, I mean.

If not, how long does a taxi take?

Hey

You have to take a bus from the airport to Rhodes Town n then change to an East coast bus down to Lindos. Time consuming but a cheap option. Taxis take 45 mins direct from the airport to Lindos but u pay a premium. 66E one way.

So what would be the latest bus you can get from Rhodes Town in June?

You'd be better off getting one of the transit coaches directly from the airport to your hotel, they can take up to 2 hours because of the stop offs, but there again, could be quicker! If Depending on how many of you there are you may want to consider a taxi, max an hour travel. Can't recall how much taxi's are for the airport run, but someone else on here will be able to let you know! Oh, and I would recommend Lambis on Krana Hill, pool, cafe, bar and decent size studios. No more than a 10/15 min stroll down to the village and you can always get a taxi back up for about 4 or 5 €.

You could book a transfer from the airport with www.resorthopper.com or www.a2btransfers.com for half the price of a taxi (approximately 33 euros one way). They use minibuses & the transfer takes about an hour.
