Traffic Question July 1

I was thinking of visiting the Aran Islands from Doolin on July 1 (it's a Wednesday but Canada Day for us). We would be driving from Limerick and boat leaves about 9:30am. Is there anything going on that would cause us trouble? Thanks

Nothing I can think of Canuck...the Willie Clancy festival starts a few days later so you should be fine.

Keep an eye on:

There is a short cut into Doolin after the cliffs of Moher & stone cutters cottage....keep an eye out for a small cycle sign (it's the road down to Doonagore castle)...so if you happen to be there in the meantime, try that road.

It's more scenic and shaves a few minutes off the entry into Doolin.

Check the AA Roadwatch website (www.aaroadwatch.ie) for details of any disruptions, nearer the time.
