We have been planning our trip to Ireland this August with our 17 year old boy-girl twins.
I've received amazing input from SarniaGirl, Ferdie35 and Oz. Can't thank you enough!
So here are our tenative plans: US to London-3 nights in a flat in Kensington.
Fly Ryan Air (is it ok? an Inn owner recommended it) from Stanstedt to Shannon. The rates are substantially lower than any other. Just wondered if they're tiny planes? My daughter is not a great flyer.
2 nights in Ballyvaughan-do Bunratty, Cliffs of Moher, music in the area? Is it worth driving from there to Doolin?
1 week outside of Clifden in a cottage-do Westport, Connemara, famine memorial, Galway for one day of shopping, maybe an island?
Drive to Kinsale...maybe one night somewhere between Clifden and Kinsale? Or drive straight through and stay in Kinsale for 2-3 nights. Fly from Cork to London (on Ryan Air?).
Are we missing anything in these areas? My husband and I did Bantry Bay,Dingle and the Berra Peninsula a few years ago...we'd love to share with the kids but also wanted new Ireland experiences.
Thanks for any and all input!!
