The tour buses for RoK leave Killarney late morning and head counter-clockwise and are usually back by late afternoon. So you can time your path to either beat or follow them. Then take the side roads off the main and you'll avoid the buses and see more.

Sue, that sounds perfect. The bit of the Ring between Killarney and Killorglin is one of the least spectacular bits (but its still lovely!!)

We want to enjoy ROK , not rush it

Is it too much to do whole drive? Parts only?

Either is Ok because you would have to go to Killorglin from either Killarney or Dingle. You might need an extra 30 minutes or so when coming from Dingle but you'll be fine.

I think the full day in Killarney is better. It will give you time to see Muckross House (you usually need to wait for a tour) and the gardens.

I also recommend Ladie's View in Killarney National Park!! The little cafe and views are not to be missed :)

Absolutely will see kenmare to Killarney section

You can comfortably do the ROK and Killarney National Park in one day each, but I would never choose to stay in Killarney. It's a busy tour bus depot with plastic quality souvenirs and generally considerably higher prices or less quality (that's too often your choice) for food, shelter and souvenirs. Do Kenmare or a north ring B&B along the coast for two nights followed by less than two hour ride to Dingle.

Our friend had highly recommended Cahernane House due to its unusual features and "outside" Killarney proper location

Would you (or anyone else) still advise to stay Kenmare instead?

Look it up online, comparing cost, value and what is meant by outside Killarney proper. Compare that all to Ashfield B&B in Kenmare by reading view comments on TA for Kenmare B&B's. (It was highest rated, nicely priced and the owner is super).
