My daughter is on Norderney for Student Exchange. If you live on Norderney, you probably already know of her. I will be visiting her and her host families at the end of May over a weekend. I am looking for a location to host a meal, probably lunch, for all 3 of her host families, 15-20 people, mostly pre-teens. I don't understand all the customs. With the ASH cloud, I do not want to commit to too much. I may never make it over there from the US.
Should I stick to German fare, to ensure that I am trying to fit in, or show them as much US as I can? I will be staying with her current host family and don't want to ask too much of them. Would a beach picnic be possible with minimal shopping time?
After paying for her exchange and my visit (with other travel w/her) I am on a budget, but think 20 Eruo per person is reasonable to host a meal. Most would order from a childs menu at a restaurant.
I am at a loss of where to start. Time there will be limited, so I am trying to bring all 3 families together at the same time.
I see there is a campground, is it acceptable to ask people to bring chairs if I supply the food, drink, and eating supplies?
Are there any recommendable restaurants that would accomodate this size group?
