parking and beaches in St Tropez

We will be driving a car from Toulon to St-tropez. Is there parking near the beaches? and does anyone know which beach would be the easiest to visit? Also, anything between toulon and St Tropez worth a visit?

The best beaches are at Pampelonne. Drive along the D93, otherwise the Route des Plages (= Beach Road) and there are a series of turnings off towards the coast. Most if not all have car parks at the end, many of them operated by the municipality of Ramatuelle (St Tropez' neighbour). Last year, if I remember correctly the charge was Euro 4 per day. The seaside towns on the way are all pleasant if you take the D559 coast road, but it's congested in summer. Turn off at La Croix Valmer onto the D93 and you won't need to go into St Tropez first.

Good luck with driving anywhere near St Tropez. You'll be giving up your morning getting there and your afternoon getting back!
