Hi,

Can anyone tell me how long the train (TGV) is from Marseille to Portafino Italy?

Regards,

Veronica.

There is no TGV from Marseille to Portafino. You can take a TGV from Marseille to Nice, where you change to a local train to Ventimiglia at the Italian border. This trip takes about 3¾ hours.

At Ventimiglia, you change to an Italian train to Santa Margherita Ligure. You can take a slow (Regionale) train all the way, or you can take a faster InterCity train to Genoa and change there to a local train. This trip takes about 4 hours.

From Santa Margherita Ligure, you take a bus (or taxi) to Portafino.

Allow around 8.5 to 9 hours for the whole journey of some 430 km.

You can also take a [non TGV] local train from Marseille and change either at Cannes or Nice for Ventimiglia, then on from there on the Italian railway network
