Cassis or Aix?

We have a cruise ship stop in Marseilles and are trying to decide between these two villages. Mostly we want to just take it easy, stroll, shop, eat, take photos. Since Cassis is smaller, it's probably more pictuesque and quaint? I do find we seem to like smaller towns more. What is the weather like in November?

Thanks!

Sue

You won't want to be in Cassis, an attractive seaside town, in November. You will be 2 of not many people around.Aix is not a village but there will be more for you to see and do there in November which is an unfashionable time for touring Provence.

In late October we have in some years still been able to sit in the sun by our pool.

Why not stay in Marseille itself? The old port has some wonderful restaurants and shopping if the weather is not good.
