St Malo on a Sunday morning

We are due to arrive (by car - ferry) in St Malo on a Sunday morning at 08:30. Our destination for later on Sunday is not available until 4pm. So we'd like to 'do' St Malo on the Sunday, but wonder where we can go first thing on a Sunday morning at 08:30. Nothing will be open at that time. Do you know of anywhere - like a cafe - where we can while away a couple of hours before setting off to all the places which start opening from 10:00 am? We have two children who do not particulatly like walking - they like seeing things and doing things.

Thanks for any ideas.

Go for a walk around the walls....

That should fill some time nicely!

As it is fairly touristy, you may well find some Cafés open in Intra Muros at that time of day, even on a Sunday, for coffee criossants etc....

You don't say where you are heading to , but Mont St Michel is 40 minutes away.

In addition to he walls, if the tide has just gone out, the kids might like to walk to some of the rocks that are islands at high tide - difficult to explain but you will see what I mean when you get there. I would be very surprised if some of the cafes near the main entrance to the Cite are not open in time to cater for people arriving on the ferry.

Thanks for all the replies. So, a walk around the walls and then maybe head for the center to find a cafe. Seems good to me. Thanks :-)
