A few examples. Some only in Italian or German. If you are not already aware there are 2 languages in the Region - German and Italian and many places also have German names (e.g. Selva is Wolkenstein). As such many services in both Italian and German (there is also a local dialect Ladin)

"Tage" days

"ohne Skischuhe" is without Skiboots

"mit Skischuhe" with Skiboots

Half English/Italian

Giorni - day

con Scarpone - with boots

Also depending on where you are staying EXACTLY in Selva. Selva spreads out a long way

Meals is a personal thing. Depends what and where you are eating and how much you eat. What do you want. Just a pizza or pasta and a beer (under €15) or some 47 course blow out with a bottle of expensive wine.

Technically, there is a third--Ladin, but yes German and Italian are the two functional languages in the area.

A lot of people in the area can struggle with English somewhat since many visitors come unable to speak German, Italian or Ladin.

"Just a pizza or pasta and a beer (under €15)" It would actually be quite a nice pizza, for instance at Sun Valley, enough for two. My wife and I just returned from staying in a kitchen-equipped studio for six nights in Selva. Breakfast was included. We loaded the place up with groceries from town and made our own lunches and dinners most days. €100 fed the two of us for the entire week. Of course, we kept hitting the rifugios for more beer €2-3 per beer, and more espressos €1-2 per espresso, and more chocolate torte cakes €2-3 per cake serving.
