Wedding DJ Suggestions Amalfi Coast

Question

Hi everyone.

My fiancee and I are getting married in Ravello next year. We are about to begin searching for a DJ for the after dinner party - we think a DJ will be a safer option and more to our taste!

Can anyone give us any suggestions/feedback/criticisms of DJ's or music companies in the Amalfi region?

We are both British and in our early 30's so we are looking for a DJ who will play British/American based chart music along with some older classics that will get everyone dancing!

This is a popular topic lately, I posted this info somewhere else recently, anyway here goes: we had a band and a DJ at my sister's wedding in Ravello and I helped with the research quite a bit. We chose a company called Amalfi Coast Wedding Music, they provide many musicians and DJs in the region. The band and DJ both made the day and everyone complimented me on finding them. The band was one you would expect at a UK wedding, with a great repertoire and a singer with a genuine British/American accent, in fact he spoke perfect English. The DJ was absolutely great too. They have fab reviews here on TA.

Hi. We used a Ravello based vendor named Marco. I am positive that you would have come across him during your research. Marco sources various types of musicians, from DJs to mandolin players. The DJ that Marco provided us was certainly better than mediocre, but far from extraordinary. The price was fair and he played several requests from our guests that had been submitted prior to the wedding day. However, he did not introduce our first dance (perhaps his English wasn't great). Once you settle on a DJ, I suggest that you give crystal clear instructions on how you wish him/her to perform. We took for granted that our first dance would be introduced, but instead the DJ just started that track. I understand that there is another Ravello based music vendor; Bruno. He is perhaps worth researching.

Hi Deano and everyone, you're right about Bruno: the company we chose (Amalfi Coast Wedding Music) is his company. We had one of his DJs, and the first dance and other special songs, were properly introduced in impeccable English.
