Villa nettuno/getting there

i was considering driving to positano but after reading forums it seems inpractical and expensive to park i am coming from sorrento and thinking of dropping the car off there and getting a ferry to positano ? also when departing i have to pick up a car from salerno and heading to sicily can i get a ferry from positano to salerno?? also has anyone stayed at villa nettuno arrived by boat? if so how many stairs? i am fairly fit but its not me i am worried about its my girlfriend..would it be possible to carry her bags up then come back and get mine ?OR AM I DREAMING?

i have read there is porters at the wharf?

If you're planning your trip for April or May, indeed you'll be able to take a ferry from Sorrento to Positano and another one from Positano to Salerno Porto Turistico(closer to Centro/Rental Car Places/Salerno FS Train Station) or Salerno Molo Manfredi:

Also, I'm pretty sure that you can take a boat from Salerno to Messina. I think the boats leave the port at the end of Via Ligea near the Vietri Sul Mare border.

Otherwise, there are at least three rental car agencies on or near Corso Garibaldi right across the street from the Salerno FS Train Station.

Also, if you're arriving by SITA bus or boat in Positano, you can take a taxi or use that porter service recommended in the forum to help you up to your hotel.
