Getting from Rome to Positano

We will be wanting to travel from Rome to Positano on July 31. After researching the internet we are led to believe the most effective way is from Rome to Naples to Sorrento by train then to Positano by public bus. Does anyone have any other suggestions of getting there via ferry perhaps from Naples or even train to Salerno then ferry to Positano. We would appreciate any help or suggestions you may have.

The easiest way to get from Rome to Positano is using the Marozzi bus. The only problem may be that their website is in Italian only.
