Amalfi Coast Wineries?

We'll be in Positano for 4 nights later this month, and were wondering whether there were any wineries that have tours/tastings nearby. Ideally, we'd like to find one or two that are accessible by the SITA bus?

How spooky is that?

While you were writing those posts, we were out at a wine and food do, a weekly tour round Italy - "Sulle Strade del Vino" - which this week was concentrating on our local Campanian growers - and this is what we chose...

Ravello Bianco - Costa d`Amalfi Doc - Marisa Cuomo 2010....

A blend of two grape varieties that are both very popular here.. Falanghina 60% and Biancolella 40% - and quite wonderful!

... and, for that particular wine...

I looked at the above sites and none of them seem to offer on site tastings. Does anyone know of a specific winery on the amalfi coast that offers tastings or better yet tasting with lunch?

If you look at Marissa Cuomo's site and click on the Degustazione (tastings) at the top, you can see some info about tastings and lunch. You can copy and paste into a translator on the web.

The wineries along the Amalfi Coast are nothing like the big ones in Tuscany, Piedmonte, etc. They're small, the grapes literally grow out of the rocks. Marissa Cuomo makes some very good wines and we drink them on every trip when we stay in Praiano.

Hi

For the combo you require (tastings and lunch) there are some on the Coast . San Francesco Vineyards in Tramonti as well as a Tramonti Wine Map on Google. A bit further inland 11/2 hours drive from Positano there are Mastroberardino and Feudi di San Gregorio. Both have the type of tastings and gourmet lunch accompaniment you are looking for.

Reach me if you require addl .info at ringhio51@hotmail.com

Marissa Cuomo has tastings at a local restaurant, not at the winery, and you have to have 6 people. We really wanted something at the winery itself (you know the atmosphere thing). Thanks for the info. though.
