Transfer from Naples to Maiori

How easy is it to use public transport to get to Maiori from Naples airport? We are hoping to travel to Maiori in September booking our own flights and accommodation.

Have read about the public beach at Maiori. Is there a charge to use it?

It will take a while, but it's not especially difficult.

There is an express bus you can take from the airport to the Napoli Centrale train station. I think it costs about 3 euros and you pay the driver upon boarding. Runs every half hour or so.

Then board a train for Salerno. There are 2-3 trains each hour. Take a Eurostar or IC+ train, 2nd-class. Takes about 30 minutes and tickets will likely cost 5-10 euros. You can also take a cheaper regional train, but it stops a few places along the way and so is slower.

In front of the the Salerno train station, board a SITA bus going to Amalfi. Maiori is one of the last stops along the way and it will take about an hour to get there. Get tickets for the bus from the tourist info office or a tabacci stand.
