Moving to Lecce

Hi,

I know this is a travel site, but I am hoping for some quick insight if possible. I am planning on moving to Lecce in Dec. for work for at least a year and wanted to get an idea of what it is like to live and work there. In particular, I won't have a car so I was wondering how easy/difficult it is to get around for work, leisure, shopping etc. based on public transportation alone. Any information will be very helpful.

Thanks!

I would recommend going to Puglia Unconvered dot com. It's a forum for expats living in Puglia.

Lecce is great university town. If you can live in the center of town then you'll be fine. Also it's very flat so a lot people ride bikes there. I came to Brindisi (just up the road) on a 3 year contract and now I've been here over 5 years.
