Hi,
We're travelling by train from Rome to Giardini Naxos /Taormina.We have booked a hotel in the Isola Bella vicinity. Is this walking distance or taxi distance and are there taxis available at the station? We get in fairly late in the day.

At 3 km from the station, Isola Bella isn’t walking distance from the station, especially with luggage, and you would be walking in the street without pedestrian paths.
Interbus passes both locations, and runs occasional sporadic service, but taxi would be your best option. Expect to pay 10,00 euro.
