BIRG Ticket in Rome

I'd appreciate an explanation of the cost for BIRG ticket for both train to Rome and Metro bus usage for 1 day, where the train arrives in Rome, and where/how you get the Metro.

To get to Rome from Civitavecchia, you need a 5-zone BIRG pass, which now costs 12 euros.

It's good until midnight on the day you first use it. Before using it, you have to stamp it in a machine by the side of the track (or on the bus if you first use it on a bus). This puts the date and time stamp on the ticket. Make sure the date and time get printed, and use a different machine if it doesn't. Don't stamp it again after the first time! In a metro station, just put it into the slot on the turnstile. It's good for transport to and from Rome, and for all local public transportation within Rome (not local transportation in Civitavecchia or in any other town outside of Rome). Coming from Civitavecchia, the best place to get the metro is probably at Termini station, where both metro lines cross. The metro lines don't go to a lot of places; you may find buses more useful for many destinations.
