Moiano, benevento

Hello,

Can anyone tell us about the village of Moiano? We have friends whose grandparents were born there and want to visit it. We will be driving from Greve in Chianti Tuscany.

Are there decent hotels in or near that village? Restaurants?

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

We stayed just outside Moiano this August. There are two or three restaurants but I didn't notice any hotels - we were in a Villa. There was a Bank, a baker, supermarket - all the essentials!

Your best bet would probably be an Hotel in Chiusi.

Not sure about Chiusi being particularly handy - however the Italian Wiki page for Moiano lists the adjacent comunes as: Airola, Arienzo (in Caserta province), Bucciano, Forchia, Sant'Agata de' Goti and Tocco Caudio.

The only one of those to which we've been is Sant'Agata de' Goti - which you might like, although (from Googlemaps at least) it does look a slightly journey away:

(use the English link on the left, after you've seen the photos!)

... and TA does list a few places there...

Otherwise you may need look to the towns of either Benevento or Caserta?

Thanks to all. We completed our trip and found this Village. We stayed in Benevento, a very nice city with lots of ancient history.
