Thanks sydneynick – The Trenitalia site has not been updated. I have notified a Trenitalia agent in Rome who said he would notify Trenitalia. Siracusa also has left luggage storage, and that too isn’t indicted on the Trenitalia site.
You should have no problems leaving for Catania after you complete the Valley of the Temples tour pj_from_sg – There is indeed left luggage storage at the Agrigento train station. It is an automated system with machines.
You could take Trenitalia or the SAIS bus service from Agrigento to Catania.
