Visit Llanfairpwll?

I will be staying in Birmingham for 3 days while y sister is at a conference. I have always wanted to take a picture with the sign inLlanfairpwll. Is it far/expensive to train there and back? Is it possible in he winter (I will be there at the end of November)? Thanks!

There are direct trains every couple of hours, taking 3.5 hours each way.

It's usually slightly quicker (about 3 hrs) to change at Crewe and/or Chester.

Book in advance (as far ahead as poss for the widest selection of timings) and it's £34 return. www.nationalrail.co.uk

Not a lot ! There are a couple of shopping outlets but they are no different to what's available anywhere and wouldn't detain you more than 10mins (but I'm male...).

On the other hand, within a few miles there is plenty of amazing scenery, and 10mins away by car is Beaumaris with a castle and several excellent eateries.

If you want to avoid the local buses, a better bet might be to stop in Conwy (on the main rail line about 20mins short of LlanfairPG) and that is a World heritage site with enough to take all day, if you have it.
