Ross on Wye days out

I am planning a long weekend - four days in Ross on Wye for a party of all adults in June - Can anyone suggest things to do and see?

Another excellent place to eat in Ross is the Royal Hotel. They have a resturant over looking the river and a lovely patio for a warm afternoon / evening. The food is very good and a reasonable price.

If you enjoy Thai food Closters Thai Resturant in Copse Cross Street (park in Gloucester Road and walk to the cross - turn left and it just a few yards up the street on the right hand side) is very good also.

We hope you enjoy your visit to this area.

Hi Persephone

Hope you have a good weekend

If Ive read your post correctly you will be there this weekend ( 9th / 10th ) If so have a look at www.hellensmanor.com -its one of the oldest buildings in England, and imo really special. Close to Ross in Much Marcle .

Its open this weekend for a gardening festival .

Thanks for all the useful info Buzze.

I know it is over a year ago that you posted it,but we are looking for ideas around that area for a couple of days in August on our way back from Devon.

Your comments have given us a good idea of places to visit .

Any advice on nice hotels to stay in that area with our 12 yr old lad would be welcome!
