Holiday Inn - any opinions?

We are looking for a cheap one night stay before our sailing from Dover the following day. The best prices are for the Holiday Inn Express in Canterbury or for the Holiday Inn Ashford Central. Does anybody know which of these would be quieter? I read a review about a disco at the Ashford Hotel, is this correct? Thanx.

Hi

I dont know about either hotel Im afraid but I can recommend the Travelodge in Ashford on the Eureka Leisure Park.

Its very clean, everything is pretty new and it was super cheap.

Its also easy to find and easy to get anywhere you want to be from.

We were going on the Eurostar and found it fantastic for the price.

I would have thought there would be cheaper options at one of the Travelodges. I think the nearest ones (in order) would be Margate-Westwood; Canterbury-Dunkirk, and Ashford.

There are also three Premier Inns in dover (Ferry Terminal, East and West). the Dover Ferry Terminal hotel costs £60 per night. I would imagine that would be similar to the holiday inns you have mentioned, and if not you will make a saving on what you would spend on petrol/train fare anyway from Ashford (about 15-20 miles away). Dover East + West appear to be £56 per night.

We got a bargain when we went to the Travelodge, I think it was £25!

Many thanks for replies. Have tried travelodge and premier inn and they're both more expensive! There are 10 of us travelling and the price for the Holiday Inn includes breakfast which makes quite a difference! Guess I'll just book one of them and hope we get some sleep!
