Wackers is totally street level.

Golden grid, molly mallones, the fish pan and winking willy perhaps have no more than a doorstep.

Not sure if harry ramsdens has a lift.

Mother hubbards is up a couple of flights of stairs.

Harpers at Staxton is great and totally ground floor but 7 miles out of town.

Best to check with individual restaurants before you go.

Taggy,

I've just called into Harry Ramsdens, it has a stair ramp/lift into the restaurant on the first floor.

Thanks mate, if possible i'd prefer to try one of the others rather than Ramsdens...nothing against them, but i've a couple near me which ive used a few times & would prefer to use a proper "local" chippy if i can. I'll probably go with either Wackers or Fish Pan if they look suitable. I've actually had a takeaway once from The Fish Pan a while back when i was in Scarborough without my Son, & it was very good, but cant recall where the restaurant bit is, is it just next to the take away part, & would it have wheelchair access to the tables do you know? Thanks once again!

The fishpan restaurant is slap bang next door to the takeaway. It has seating on the ground and first floor. Theres a very small step on the ground floor. Unsure of toilets though. Golden grid another independant is has a little entrance ramp. I'm keen to have a look at the new oasis cafe on the north bay. Had a takeway brew from there a few weeks ago and saw the fish and chips being plated up for the restaurant upstairs. Looked nice!
