Mother's Wedding

My mother is getting married near Bedford next year (Biddenham) and the rest of the family are looking for a country house hotel to stay in over the weekend. Does anyone have any ideas?

Woodlands Manor hotel in Clapham is the nearest country hotel to Biddenham, I can't comment on it's standards, but it is in a beautiful part of the country, set back from Clapham High St which is rather unexciting.

You also have Flitwick Manor (set in wonderful grounds but further away on the edge of Flitwick), a commuter town with a few pubs, small shops & a Tescos.

Check these 2 hotels & others in the area out at http://www.heavenlyhotels.co.uk/beds.htm

Another hotel you could look at is the Swan hotel in the centre of Bedford on the corner of the Embankment & the High St. The front of the hotel & inside is beautiful & there is a large annexe that has been built on the back to accommodate extra bedrooms.

What is your budget - I know Biddenham well and Bedford in particular

This is quite funny ...

My mother had her reception in Biddenham and now lives in Bromham a couple of miles away.

I spent my wedding night in Woodland's Manor! - Expensive but gorgeous.
