Cheapest guest house (decent)

Good day please provide me rates for the cheapest guest house for a single person the night of the 9th June close to the station>

You didn’t give your budget in £.

Ipswich Tourist Information Centre (link below) will have a list of accommodation.

You can call them by phone or fax.

There is also a new Premier Inn in Key Street not too far from the station, which I believe is now open.

'Premier Inn’ are a chain of budget hotels but of a good standard and considered better than the Travelodge chain

The very nearest hotel to the station (about 2-3 minutes walk away) is the Ramada Encore, which usually has very good rates, probably cheaper than some guest houses.


However, the area immediately around the station is very dull with nothing going on. If you don't mind a ten minute walk, the Novotel has some good rates and is near the waterfront and town centre. The travelodge near the waterfront is also worth considering if you're on a budget. Although travelodges can get a bit tacky with the passing of time, this one is nearly new.
