Llandudno in October

We are looking for a late seaside weekend starting October 25th. Would you recommend Llandudno at this time?

Yes it will be quieter of course but so will any other seaside resort except say Blackpool

It could still be mild , there will be enough to do in and around Llandudno.

Will you be driving whilst you are here?

You can drive out to Snowdonia, Anglesey, Conwy, Betws-y-Coed which are all great day trips.

There are plenty of good restaurants, pubs and there might be something of interest at

I think Llandudno would make a great base for a seaside break in October.

Most of the main tourist attractions in the area are advertised as being open until the end of October so that's going to be the last week of the season. It's also half term, in Conwy County at least, so it will be the final chance to cash in before winter sets in so there should still be plenty to do. Weatherwise it's completely unpredictable (in common with anywhere else in the UK) but Llandudno does sometimes get decent weather in October. Of course given that it's a half term week it's almost certain to chuck it down all week! If you did visit during that week I'd suggest a trip over to Conwy (about 5 miles away) for the Gwledd Conwy Feast - http://www.gwleddconwyfeast.co.uk/

Llandudno is always busy with locals as people come to do their shopping and for a day out ... it's very much a working town not just a "seaside resort" that goes dead outside the tourist season ... so I'd say that it is a good choice ... and there's plenty of very scenic trips you can do in the car, for instance do go along the A55 westwards through the tunnels along the coast road, it's stunning

We spent 4 nights in Llandudno in November last year (not our first visit there), & found plenty to do, the weather was good too, but of course it is unpredictable at that time of year. One day we got the train to Chester, took about an hour I think, it is a scenic journey along the coast. Another we drove along to Caernarfon. If you have'nt been to Llandudno before you will find plenty to keep you occupied.
