Advice on LLandudno or Ros an Sea to live

I am moving to Wales to live in December 2010. I am single, aged 50, will be sharing a private rented accomadation with a friend of the same age. Anyone recommend where to live? Am caught between Llandudno and Ros an Sea

Hi Jaypryamid

I am in my early 50's and I personally would prefer Llandudno. Rhos on Sea is extremely nice and very picturesque, but is is a lot smaller than Llandudno, and apart from a walk on the front, and a few very nice alternative shops, couple of pub/eateries few cafes' and gift shops, there isn't very much there. The main shopping area consisting of two main streets with a variety of establishments and predominantly retired population. The renting accommodation, price wise, is about the same as Llandudno. It would really depend on what you and your friend require. It is only about a ten minute drive between the two, so if your looking for a quite location then Rhos would be more suitable. If you want more choice on your doorstep then it would have to be Llandudno, though an alternative would be the Craig y Don area of Llandudno which is a quiet residential area with a few shops and only a ten minute walk into the centre of Llandudno.
