Norway in august

I am planning to travel to Norway with my wife in the first week of August. Please let me know the essential places to be covered and whether I can cover the important places in 4 to 5 days. I would like to see the Fjords, Northern Lights, some small cruise (whale surfing, fjords etc.).

You can visit some fjord area in 4-5 days. August is too early for the Northern Lights. For whale safaris you would have to travel beyond the arctic circle.

Too much on your list for 4-5 days. The famous fjords are in Western Norway (Stavanger-Ålesund stretch), while whale safaris in the north (and august may not be the best season). Distance between these places are around 1500 km.

There are also great fjords and coastal/island mountains up north:
