Is there much to do in Bodo?

I'm going to Norway for about 5 days mid June. We're going to end up in Lofoten, so are going to fly into Bodo first and then get the ferry across.

Is there much to do or see in Bodo, or is it more of a place that people go to spend one night there in order to get the ferry across?

Also, how much roughly does the ferry cost?

Nature is the main thing in Bodo - http://www.visitbodo.com/?set_lang=en

The ferry costs depends on which one you're thinking of. The car ferry from Bodo to Moskenes costs 161 NOK for an adult, while the passenger ferry from Bodo to Svolvaer is 356 NOK for an adult.

The RIB trips to Saltsraumen are good. Lasting 2 hours plus, they cover not only the Saltsraumen whirlpools, but also offer opportunities to see sea eagles and puffins. They can be booked at the tourist office in Bodo - I paid NOK 600..
