Can you wear casual clothing on Midnatsol for dinner?

We are travelling through Lapland before joining the Midnatsol in Kirkenes early March and as such will require a lot of outwear such as heavy boots, coats etc. Our luggage space is limited and I am hoping we can get away with a minimum amount of clothing on the cruise. Any advice please?

The dress code on the Hurtigruten ships is definately casual, so no problems there. They are not cruise ships so no dressing up. Indoors everyone just wears casual clothing.

The weather will be very cold and you will need lots of layers, especially when on deck. Make sure you have a good windproof and waterproof outer layer, that includes trousers.

Have a good trip.

Excellent news - our luggage will be heavy enough with all the winter gear we need to take without having to worry about more dressy type of clothes. Thank you.
