Baltic cruise Norway / Oslo (regent Princes 24th June 2018)

Hi I would be grateful for some advice of how to get the best from Oslo - want to know what to priorities

I would like to see the ski jump

The Viking musuem

A short walk around the city

The scream painting

Possibly the sculpture park or a novel prize musuem if there is one.

My mum will be with me who can walk but we are taking a wheelchair for her as lots of walking is too much.

Any advice would be gratefully received ?

Can I do all these on the hop on hop off bus ?

Thanks

Not sure where the Hop On Jump Off bus goes, but check out this one...

But you a 24 hours Oslo card for all transport.

Take a Subway to Tøyen for Munch museum and Skrik.

Return to the city and take the sub no. 1 all the way up to Holmenkollen Ski jump (long walk uphill).

Return down to Majorstuen, take a short walk to Vigelandsparken.

Take bus no. 20 (?) to Bygdøy and enjoy the Vikings and Folk Museum, and visit Ra & Fram before you take the ferry back to Oslo City Hall and the Nobel Peace Center.

Do the city walk... enjoy..;)

Bit too much in one short cruise day - skip Holmenkollen ski museum.

If you arrive early then Vigeland park is open. Museums etc. Probably not open before 10:00 or 11:00.

So Vigeland first, then Viking ships. Ferry back to Oslo (not included in transit pass), Peace museum, Munch gallery then metro back to Jernbanetorget (the sentral station) and walk back to cruise port. You’ll be exhausted by that already.

All that in a short period of time with someone in a wheel chair?

I seriously cannot imagine doing this unless you hire a driver.

The park itself is quite a long walk to the main sculptures and there are lots of stairs. I do not recall seeing wheel chair access but perhaps I missed it. We loved the park.
