We are 4 adults and one child (age 2.5 years) who wish to travel to Budapest from Vienna on 13th or 17th October (which date is still undecided) for a day trip. Our plan is to go there in the early morning (7 or 8 am train) and return on in the later afternoon/early evening (5 or 6 pm train). I have individually checked the prices of the one way trips on both OBB and MAV. The prices are Euro 39 from Vienna to Budapest (Westbahnhof to Keleti) and 13 Euros from Budapest to Vienna (same stations).
However, I have also seen on the OBB website the Excursion ticket to Budapest which seems to be a return ticket (Vienna - Budapest - Vienna) for only 39 Euros.

My question is, where can I buy this better priced excursion ticket from (as an international traveller, not based in Vienna at present).
Also, if I can't buy it online and if I purchase both legs of the ticket as one way from the individual sites, where do I get my tickets for the Budapest to Vienna leg (the MAV site says "Please note that home printing of international tickets is not possible. International tickets booked online must be collected at one of the e-Ticket machines located at 42 railway stations in Hungary before your journey.")
Any other tips or suggestions welcome.
Thanks in advance for your patience and help folks!
