What is the shortest flight from Vienna to Bangkok that includes baggage? We do not a 10hr stopover in Doha or similar

The Austrian flight is run by their subsidiary Tyrolean Airways. I also think Eva Air do a direct flight, though not every day of the week.

For flight searches like this we typically use www.itasoftware.com (by Google) which can show you the direct flights available between VIE and BKK, sorted by price. This might be a helpful way to search out flights for your trip. See link.

Another similar flight search engine that we are having better luck with these days is with kayak.com (see link).

and even the flight search function here on Tripadvisor is starting to produce some good results, although we've not yet booked a flight this way (see link).

Best of luck with your flight searches and hope you enjoy Bangkok.

The UK Consumers Association ("Which?") recently voted skyscanner.com the best flight search engine. It consistently came up with the cheapest options.

Thanks for the reminder Norman C.

Wasn't having much luck with skyscanner a few years back, might have been a regional thing, and basically stopped using the site. Just tried them along side those mentioned above and it did seem to produce slightly cheaper fares to destinations in Europe, South Africa and North America. Great! Love saving a bit of money when possible. Thanks for the reminder of skyscanners.
