5 hour strop in Vienna train station at night - safety??

Hello,

I am travelling in September and getting an overnight train from Venice to Zagreb - there is a 5 hour stopover from 1am - 6am at Villach Hbf. Is this train station safe to do this? Is there an alternative to waiting in the train station. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cath

It is safe, but very very boring.

A better alternative would be to get the day bus from Venice to Villach €19 www.oebb.at/en and then train from there to Zagreb - there are two options, cost about €40 but you don't seem to be able to buy those on-line. You will be able to buy that in Villach.

Tickets aren't available for the bus yet - they come out 90 days before travel.
