If you prefer you could do an organized trip - either you can arrange this through your holiday rep if you go on a package or tourist info will help. It will probably be a 8.30 ish start, and you will be given the option of doing the salt mines or going up to the Eagles Nest (which is the option we took). The guides are usually very good. If you go to the Eagles Nest you will get about 1.5 hours there, which is plenty to have a drink and snack and walk around to take in the views - there will probably still be snow around in June. The trips then usually take you into the town for a couple of hours - it's a lovely place to have a wander. You should be back in resort between 5 and 6 - it's a long day but worth it.
