To avoid any confusion I am writing about the following company: http://www.holiday-shuttle.at/
Use this company at your peril, they are only after your money and the only good thing they do is take your cash and shrug their shoulders when they screw it all up. Below is our experience:
So we land at Salzburg and get on the 14:30 coach they provide. It left at 15:15 with everyone sat on the bus waiting for the driver to go, he just ran around like a headless chicken and didn't speak a word of English... No problem we're on holiday and we're in no rush, but we are slightly nervous that these guys are not organised...
So the time comes to leave Zell Am See, taxi is due to pick us up at the hotel and take us to the coach rendezvous at 10:15, our flight was leaving at 14:30 and we got this transfer on the advice of the Holiday Shuttle people. We get get collected at 10:30 and taken to a service station to meet the coach... Its not there. The driver of the taxi tells us to wait 5 mins for the coach to arrive, it doesn't arrive for another hour!! Now we are nervous, the traffic is heavy and we know how long it takes to get to Salzburg... On the coach we find out that the coach driver refused to leave his initial pick up point which is what caused the hours delay which we spent stood around in the freezing cold. So now we have a packed coach with everyone on it nervous about catching their flights... We eventually get to the airport 20 minutes after check in closes and, like the entire coach load of people, miss our flight!! On speaking to the Holiday Shuttle staff at the airport we are met by shrugging shoulders and nothing else. So total cost of re-booking the flight and taxi transfer back to the airport we left our car was £300 and another 4 hours of travel time.
No problem our holiday insurance will cover this right? WRONG!! Insurance companies need evidence of the delay and Holiday Shuttle DO NOT provide it, so we are now £300 out of pocket due to this companies inefficiency .
So yes they are cheap, but you WILL miss your flight home, you WILL NOT be able to claim the money on insurance and Holiday Shuttle WILL NOT help you claim it or refund you. You want my advice, pay the extra for a taxi transfer it will save you money, time and hassle in the long run.
Ignore my experience and that of the entire coach we were on at your own peril. Search Trip Advisor forum under "Holiday Shuttle Austria" for further experiences of these people and ignore any advice you get to use them! AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!
