Travel Help!

I'm planning to visit Italy and the last place is Verona.

I want to travel by train from Verona to Monte-Carlo. How long will it take?

Should I spend a night in Monte-Carlo? or should I head up to Paris?

Is it expensive in Monte Carlo?

The journey from Verona to Monaco/Monte Carlo will take 7 to 8 hours and require 3 or more changes.

You asked is Monte Carlo expensive ?... this is one of the sentences where the word 'expensive' is always appropriate. If budget is problem there are plenty of alternatives a short distance along this wonderfully spectacular coast e.g Villefranche (IMO the most beautiful place on the Riviera) is only 15 minutes from Monte Carlo by train.

Verona Porta Nuova station to Monaco-Monte Carlo station normally requires two changes, at Milano Centrale and Ventimiglia. However Trenitalia's train times through to June currently show an additional change at Albenga onto a bus to bypass a stretch of line currently closed by a landslide. Track repairs are scheduled to be complete before June, after which direct trains should resume from Milan to Ventimiglia and be at least 30 minutes faster than current times.

Hi

The best way to travel from Monaco to Verona is to take a train from Monaco to Milano and then take the train to Venice that stops in Verona approximately 51/2 hours journey.

I think it makes sens for you to spend the night in Monaco or surrounding and enjoy the city.

Not more expensive than Paris.

Track repairs to the landslide have now been completed, and shortest travel time from Verona to Ventimiglia is once again 5.5 hours.

We will be spending only one day in Monte Carlo on a cruise ship, any ideas on what to see and do would be very much appreciated.

We will be embarking on a cruise from Monte Carlo and usually spend a couple days before a cruise at the city of origin. How long wld be appropriate to spend in Minte Carlo? Thanks for any thoughts.

Monte Carlo is a small part of the tiny Principality of Monaco.

Monaco is smaller that NYC's Central Park.

You could certainly spend 2 days exploring Monaco and the surrounding area.
