After Grand Prix

Hi,

We will arrive Monte Carlo from cruise ship on May 28, 2013, which is two days after the Grand Prix, just would love to know :

1) would it still be something related to the race we can explore and get the feel of the great event?

2) would it still be a lot of road close due to the event? Would the area around the port be affected?

Thanks for the help.

Most of the grandstands will still be in place, but the big screens for relaying the event will be gone by then. The barriers around the streets are next to go, but as you are arriving only two days later, many if not most of them will also still be in place. The big trailers in the paddocks that are used by the teams for hospitality will be gone and so will the cars, but if my memory serves correctly, the drivers' and team names will still be up in the pit lane.

None of the roads will be closed, you will be able to walk the circuit if you wish. The area around the port will be affected mainly by the continuing presence of the grandstands, but it sounds as though you won't mind that.

So yes, you will get a feel for what Monaco is like for the big event. Enjoy!

Thanks Moth for your info, it's a thrill at least we can "feel" the great event :)
